South Korea had their first training session in the afternoon. It’s Kyudong Lee’s first time in Portugal. The Korean player says that the best part of this experience is “being able to talk with people from many different countries and learn a lot of things”.
Finland’s female team also took the afternoon to get familiarized with the place where the matches will be held. Noora Laakson, one of the players, has never been to Portugal, but she’s enjoying the temperature and the sun. “It is warmer than in Finland”, she replied. Jari Oksanen, Finland’s female team coach, emphasizes the warm weather too. “We came from Finland and we’re having a very cold summer. Here it is warm and sunny.” The coach also said that the guides are very nice. “They are helping us every time we need.” When asked about the strongest team, Jari replied “Finland”.
Petri Kettunen, coach of Finland’s male team, is pleased by being in Portugal. “It’s my first time in Portugal, one of the European countries I haven’t visited yet and it is a pleasure to be here.” The coach is also satisfied with the organization.
